It is with great sadness that we have to announce the sudden and unexpected death of Jonny Stones. Jonny was a long standing member of the club, having turned to golf when his rugby playing career came to end. He represented Bracken Ghyll at all levels. He will be sadly missed both on the course and in the bar, where many a shot was analyzed and dissected usually depending on how well he had played but always with a smile on his face. Maureen and myself can recall many joyful memories of Jonny going back some 35 plus years, some I have told in the club over the years. We send our deepest sympathies to his wife Ruth, son Jamie and daughter Megan. Also to his parents, Sue and Roger, and all his family.
