Update to ‘Limited Return’ email. It’s now officially 2 balls!

The government has this afternoon clarified its guidance regarding the playing of sport. This says the public can….

‘use outdoor sports courts or facilities, such as a tennis or basketball court, or golf course – with members of your household, or one other person while staying 2 metres apart.’

So this means you can now play as 2balls and we would seriously encourage you to do so, and avoid playing as a singleton, to increase course capacity and give all members a better opportunity to play.

So in short…
1. You can play from 8am this Wednesday 13th May;
2. We MUST all ‘Play Safe’ and conform to the rules, policies and procedures sent out earlier today to ensure that everyone stays safe.
2. Tee booking opens at 6pm tonight;
3. Please do NOT book tee-times on consecutive days except at weekend;
4. You MUST book online. No walk-ups;
5. NO practise facilities are open except the practise putting green;
6. Please be extremely conscious of the increased use of the public footpaths across the course during this lockdown period and the lack of familiarity with the hazards of the game of golf to many of the public using them.
7. Enjoy being back but do everything to Play Safe and Stay Safe.

Finally we’re still unsure whether or not the Pro Shop is permitted to open and if not there will be no access to cloakroom facilities. Hopefully we’ll be able to confirm before Wednesday!
