Dear members,
Some of you may recognise Gordon and Jean who are regular visitors to the clubhouse for a coffee or bit of lunch. I had a conversation with Jean on New Years Eve when she came along with Gordon to support the Grand Draw. Jean mentioned she was hoping to win the knitted golfer that had been donated as a raffle prize. Unfortunately Jeans number didn’t come up, the lucky winner being Geoff Smith. A quiet word from Ian over the bar, resulted in Geoff kindly offering to give our knitted friend to Jean. I happened to be in the bar when Jean received her prize, she was delighted as you can see from the photograph. Well done Jean and a big thank you to Geoff, a very kind gesture.
