Immediate Increase in Tee-Time Availability. Play Safe – Stay Safe. |
Members will be very aware of the increasing difficulty of booking tee-times at reasonable times. To increase tee-time availability and remain within EGU guidelines your Management Committee has today agreed the following measures:
1. FROM NEXT WEDNESDAY 27TH MAY the tee-time interval will be reduced from the current 10 minutes to 8 minutes. However to remain within the guidance this means that members can only play as 2 balls – no 3 balls will now be allowed even if from the same household. 2. FROM NEXT MONDAY 25TH MAY tee-times to be available from 0730 daily, currently 8am. These increased tee-slots will become available from 6pm today and together these measures will provide an additional 40 playing opportunities per day and improve course availability for everyone. However this will make the Club slightly busier and it is therefore all the more important that all the COVID-19 control measures are rigorously maintained. Particularly we would remind members: * DO NOT arrive more than 10-15 minutes before your tee-time. If you do stay in your car; Finally, we would appeal to the sense of community in all our members and ask that you consider NOT BOOKING TEE-TIMES EVERY DAY unless tee-times remain available on the day. Needless to say your Committee will monitor the impact of both these changes and also the resumption of retail business operations on 01 June and then make any further decisions that may be necessary to ensure equality of playing opportunities for ALL members. As usual please don’t hesitate to contact me should you have any comments or require further clarification. Peter Knowles |
