COVID Update. New arrangements in the bar effective tomorrow, Wednesday 14th October 2020

COVID Update. New arrangements in the bar effective tomorrow.
As you’re no doubt aware the government yesterday introduced new ‘tiered’ arrangements for the management of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Bracken Ghyll is now governed by the requirements of the new Tier 2 and this necessitates one major change to our current arrangements in the bar which will, in turn, have a significant effect on post game socialising.

With immediate effect persons from different households cannot mix indoors. This means a 2, 3 or 4 ball can only socialise together after their round OUTSIDE unless they are of the same household or ‘bubble’.

To facilitate this House Committee are increasing the number of smaller tables in the bar/Walker Room assuming these will generally be occupied by either one or two persons. However please be assured that the new layout will comply in all respects with government guidance and social distancing requirements.

We will retain three larger tables for larger households but these tables must only be occupied by persons from one household.

Please respect the new rules with the same diligence you have shown to date with all the other COVID-19 requirements.

Thank you.

Play safe and stay safe.
