We understand these unprecedented circumstances are worrying for everyone, but we’d like to assure you that the safety, health and wellbeing of our members, visitors and staff is our absolute priority.
In accordance with government guidelines we are taking all necessary precautions across all areas of the club and we ask that as a club community we all come together and do our best to ensure the sustainability of the Club and limit the risk of spreading the disease. After all, we need a club to come back to when all this is over!
With this in mind, we are introducing the following measures with immediate effect:
• The course will remain open for competition and social play and your exercise regime.
• For the foreseeable future the clubhouse will remain open for access to the Pro Shop, changing rooms and lockers only.
• For social distancing reasons & staffing there will be NO BAR & KITCHEN SERVICE from tomorrow, Wednesday 18th March.
• For the time being all competitions will continue as planned. However this will be kept under constant review and is totally dependent upon having volunteers willing and able to process the competitions.
• Before using the competition entry terminal in the Pro Shop use the available hand sanitiser;
• Whilst playing avoid handshakes and maintain appropriate social distancing from your playing partners and other club members. Perhaps you could also leave the pin in at all times?
• After the completion of your round scorecards should be deposited in the competition box OUTSIDE the clubhouse adjacent to the main entry door. DO NOT enter scores at the terminal in the clubhouse;
• Daily cleaning and sanitising of door handles, taps and regularly touched surfaces.
Within such a small community, it is important that we don’t cause distress or panic to others and we would ask that you do not put other persons at risk. Accordingly:
• If you or a close family members has a new cough or fever over 37.8C please stay away from the club for 7 days;
• If you have come into contact with somebody who has tested positive for COVID 19 and has not been given the all clear, or they are self-isolating within the same household, then please stay away from the club for 14 days.
• Please wash your hands frequently with soap and hot water for 20 seconds and use the hand sanitisers within the club.
• When coughing or sneezing please cough into your hand, tissue or sleeve. Please dispose of the tissue if used straight away and wash your hands.
• Avoid close contact and ensure appropriate ‘social distancing’.
• IF YOU FEEL VULNERABLE OR YOUR HEALTH IS AT RISK PLEASE STAY AWAY FROM THE CLUB.
Finally please ensure that you comply with the requests above and follow all government and NHS advice to help us try to restrict the spread of this virus.
Needless to say the Club will continue to take its lead from the government and public health authorities and take all practical and necessary steps to ensure the health and wellbeing of members, visitors and staff.
PLAY GOLF. PLAY SAFE.
