Changes & Clarifications to Re-Start ‘Rules’

Isn’t it great to be back – and firstly it’s another sincere ‘thank you’ from your Management Committee for the understanding, awareness and compliance of all members to the new rules and procedures for our ‘Safe Return to Golf’. Your volunteer marshals have also very much appreciated the recognition and respect they’ve received. All we all have to do now is keep it up – and stay alert to stay safe!

In another illustration of our slow progress to a ‘new normal’ Mark, our Club Pro, returned this morning with a limited retail operation (you cannot enter or peruse goods in the shop) and 1-2-1 outdoor coaching – with social distancing of course.

And now to the main reason for this email – after our first few days experience, and with the return of Mark, your Management Committee has agreed the following changes and clarifications to our restart ‘rules’ as follows:

CHANGES

1. The club’s 2-man buggies ae now available for hire. Unless both members are of the same household only one person can ride on each buggy. Cost £7.50 per person. The buggies will be sanitised after each hire;
2. Members can now book tee-times on consecutive days; and
3. Member Guests may play but only after 1pm daily and on payment of the appropriate fee.
4. Full-time marshalling is to be discontinued from Monday. Random on-course marshalling will continue several times per day.

CLARIFICATIONS

1. 3 balls are only permitted if all from the same household;
2. 4 balls are NOT permitted even if from the same household for pace of play reasons. They should play as two 2 balls.
3. Now that Mark is back and our volunteer marshals have been stood down the clubhouse will be locked at 5pm. This means that any hired club buggies, member own buggies and member trolleys must be returned to the clubhouse by 4:30pm.

Hopefully all the above makes good sense but needless to say your Committee is keeping everything under constant review and so, if something is plainly not working, it will be changed.

Enjoy the weather, enjoy the course and your golf and PLAY SAFE, STAY SAFE.
