| Whilst all the usual club competitions don’t start until April 12th you can start to get back into the swing of things (and begin to understand how your new Handicap Index works) by entering our Bank Holiday social competition on Monday 5th April.
Tee-times become available at 6pm tomorrow and the details are as follows:
COMPETITION FORMAT
It is a 4 person Mixed Team event. Your team can be all men, all ladies or a mixture of both. Entry is via BRS tee-booking as there is no entry fee. The names of all team members must be on your tee time booking and all players must have appropriate playing rights and a Handicap Index.
The competition is a team stableford with 2 scores to count on Par 4’s, 3 to count on Par 5’s and all 4 to count on Par 3’s. Men to play the Yellow Course and ladies the Red Course. All players to use their OWN par and stroke index.
HANDICAPS
Members will play off their full Course Handicap (see Conversion Chart on the clubhouse wall which shows the Course Handicap for the yellow or red course for your Handicap Index). Ladies will then receive an ADDITIONAL 3 shots to reflect the difference in the Course Ratings i.e. the relative difficulty of the red course for ladies v the yellow course for men.
SCORECARDS
The person who has recorded the score for the team should sign the card and then place the card in the wooden box in the entrance to the clubhouse or in the black letterbox to the left of the clubhouse door. Winners will be notified and their prizes will be available in the Pro Shop when retail officially opens on the 12th April.
