A Bar Update: Introducing Nick – and an honesty box!
As you’re aware COVID lockdowns mean our bar has been closed for many weeks now and during that time we were very sorry to lose George, our previous Bar Supervisor.

With the course re-opening on Monday we’re delighted to advise the appointment of our new Bar Manager, Nick McNeice.

Nick, who lives in Ilkley, will be an employee of the Club and will join us on 01 April. He arrives with many years of bar experience and his first task will be to familiarise himself with the Club, its officers and staff and prepare the bar for the start of take-away and outside service on April 12th.

In preparation for the re-opening of the bar we have some soft drinks and snacks that have now passed their sell-by dates but are still good for consumption e.g. J2Os. When we return to golf on Monday a selection of these drinks and snacks will be laid out on a table just inside the clubhouse entrance together with an honesty box.

Please select what takes your fancy and drop a ‘donation’ of 50p per item or £2 for 5 items into the honesty box. This means that you’ll need to bring some coin of the realm of course – now that is a novelty! 100% of all donations will go to the Course Development Fund.

We look forward to welcoming you back to the Club and we know that you’ll give a warm welcome to Nick when he joins us next Thursday.

Stay safe.

Ian Penny, Chair of House
