| Sadly I have to advise the recent and unexpected death of Mark Holden.
Mark, a former postman, was one of the very early members of Bracken Ghyll and was instrumental in establishing the bar operation from scratch. Indeed Mark managed the cellar and bar as a volunteer for many years and his first wife, Sarah, was also our first caterer. With many friends at the Club, Mark was a passionate member of and advocate for the Bracken Ghyll ‘family’ and was instrumental in ensuring that new club members were quickly introduced to new friends and assimilated into the life of the Club. Bracken Ghyll has lost one of our earliest members and a committed, long standing and passionate supporter. He will be greatly missed. Peter Knowles |
