Three cheers! In line with government guidelines we’re now able to re-open the bar this Saturday, 4th July – HURRAH!
The bar will be open from 11.30 to 6.00 initially as we gradually get back into action. In accordance with regulations, we can have up to 30 people in the Walker Room and 30 on the patio area. As required by government, and in accordance with guidance from England Golf, we have completed a risk assessment and from that exercise the Club has put plans in place to help keep everybody safe. However it does rely to a significant extent on all Members playing their part by being familiar with and following the plans as outlined below: • A one-way system is now in place. Enter the clubhouse, walk along the corridor past the changing rooms and enter the bar by the far entry door adjacent to the kitchen. Sandwiches, pies and very tasty homemade sweet confections will be available and a member of staff will get whatever you require from the chiller cabinet. As with drinks, the food will be paid for using your Clubcard name and number and all condiments will be in single use sachets which we ask you to dispose of after use in the bin provided. We also hope to have the coffee machine working by Saturday but you will need to bring coins with you as there will be no cash in the till behind the bar. It will be cardboard cups only and milk/sugar will be in single use sachets which we ask you to dispose of after use into the bin provided. As the bar will be open from Saturday, we must ask all Members not to bring beer with them for drinking on the patio during bar opening hours. Please remember that Bracken Ghyll is your Club and needs your support. And finally, please remember the golden rules: Wash Your Hands – Sanitise if You Can’t Wash – Keep Your Distance – Keep Safe. Cheers! Your House Committee |
